Everything here is fresh and amazing!!!!! From burrito bowls to enchiladas to fajitas has been super yummy, 2 thumbs up

I've been coming here for years, one of the more authentic and economical places in the San Leandro, Castro Valley area. We usually get the taco combinations. You have to ask for the spicier salsa, the one they serve isn't spicey at all. Their carne asada is ok, I prefer the chicken. Most of their food is pretty good, not great, but better than other places around this area. Very popular with the local Latino folx, there's a lot of Spanish and families here.

My family and I have been coming here for YEARS it's always has been good! Will continue to come and support & enjoy their amazing food!

Literally shredded beef burrito has my heart! Chips and salsa is dynamite and it's surely enough for another little meal the next day! The burrito is about the size and length of a forearm and I believe it's priced well. Always busy and super polite!

I've been dinning at Taqueria Guadalajara for 20+ years now. The food, service and ambiance has consistently been good. I usually order single food choices without rice and beans. This allows you to try different food choices without filling up on rice and beans every time and it also keeps the dinning costs reasonable. The Caldo de res is very good, especially with their bottled hot sauce and lemon juice. I prefer lemon and not lime on my Caldo, Posole or menudo. I bring my own lemon just for the soups. Lastly, my main draw is their very simply recipe complimentary salsa and chips. I can literally engorge myself on their salsa and chips. Delicious! It is worth the drive from Albany to San Leandro. I first came here 23 years ago when I used to live in nearby San Lorenzo, and it was the closest I could get to home cooking. I would come here for lunch frequently and most loved their assortment of agua frescas and ample menu offerings. There was nothing I didn't like. I moved back to LA in 2002, but anytime I am back in the bay- I always return. And.. it never disappoints! The bay isn't crawling with authentic mom & pop Mexican food joints. This one is situated in a small strip mall, awkwardly placed across from a mechanic. Parking in a small private lot, which I can imagine gets packed on weekends. They take cash and cards. Sit to eat to enjoy the complimentary chips and salsa. This visit, the only minor complaint I have is with the rice. The rice is usually super good! This time around, it was really bland and dry. I hope it was because we were there at the end of the day and got the bottom of the barrel. I'll still keep coming back!

Great old school Mexican food place. This place has survived and thrived no matter what. Great portions and prices. Staff is always happy and nice. The tacos are my fave and tortas. I like the asada tacos and tortas de milanesa. The agua frescas vary and today the agua de fresa (strawberry) was amazing. The agua de horchata is another fave. Parking can get tough but be patient. Dinner is usually calmer than lunch time. Lots of seating and options. You can also call ahead and pick up.
